Components and Cladding Expansion & Linking

For the components and cladding module, it would be great if it was possible to populate a full C&C table with multiple effective areas per region without having to manually add the different areas to each region which can be a time sink. Something similar to how Tekla Tedds auto-populates region areas based on the min/max requirements with the min, max, and two intermediate values. Then if the user wants they can still modify the different areas to their liking.

In addition to that, it would be a significant time saver to be able to link individual beam and column design modules to these regions. For instance each member module could have a C&C flag in which you indicate what zone and whether it’s in the roof, wall, parapet, or overhang, then the module could reference the zone from the C&C module and calculate the design pressures from the tributary area based on length and the indicated tributary widths under the distributed loads section. Then it could simply apply this as a wind pressure under distributed loads similar to load linking to custom distributed loads. Ideally it would interpolate the pressure required to the specific area, but it could also be acceptable to conservatively round up to the next area increment in the C&C module’s tables. It would even still be a time saver to at least be able to simply select the location, the zone, and then a reference tributary to just apply the two pos/neg pressures of that tributary without involving an intermediate calculation for the area in the background.

Hello Justin, thanks for the suggestions, I added both of these in a our future request list
